Product Description
This set of rune-carved leather shin greaves are the perfect accessory for LARP, SCA, Renaissance Faires, or festivals. Durable but highly adjustable, these armor pieces are both comfortable and protective. Your greaves will be personalized with your choice of Runes on the decorative connecting straps (see details below) and dyed with your choice of colors.
Sizes are dependent on your calf circumference (around the widest part of the calf) and the shin length (from the top of your foot to the bend in your knee):
Small:
14-16 inch shin length
11-18 inch calf circumference
Large:
16-18 inch shin length
14-22 inch calf circumference

The Nature of Handmade
While I make every effort to match the color swatches and product photos shown, no two pieces will be exactly the same. Leather is a natural material and you can expect variations in color or natural markings which lend to the uniqueness of each piece.

Rune Customization
See the last photo in this listing for a reference of the Elder Futhark runic alphabet. These runes were used by the ancient Germanic people (and early Viking Age) for recording information and channeling spiritual energy. A bindrune is a symbol that is made up of multiple runes, generally used as a symbolic or ritual charm.
You can choose up to three runes to personalize your piece, in the form of a Bindrune.
If you do not specify your preferred runes, I will choose for you. You can also simply tell me the intended purpose or story of the piece (protection, health, prosperity, courage, etc) and I will choose the runes best suited to your purpose.

Shipping & Production Time
This custom, made-to-order piece will be crafted to your specifications, and shipped within 1-3 months. Please reach out if you have any questions about current processing times. Standard Shipping will deliver your package within 3-8 days (domestic) or 7–21 days (international). Expedited Shipping will deliver within 2-3 days (domestic) or 6-10 days (international).
Import Fees
All orders are shipped through USPS, from my home studio in Boston, MA. Please understand that if you buy from out of the United States of America there is a chance that your country will charge you import fees in order to receive your package. I have no control over your country's international tax or mailing laws, so please familiarize yourself with those policies before purchasing.
