Hello fellow adventurers,
I'm excited to give you more of a peak into my wedding dress plans for our wedding next fall! Alex and I are actually heading out to Spillian (the enchanting venue in the Catskills) on Wednesday to walk the grounds and plan our rituals. I'm so incredibly excited to get a glimpse of the magical day! I'll be sure to do another post detailing our wedding rituals and other plans as they get finalized!
For now though, I'm LOVING how this dress design is turning out. I've officially nailed down a designer - I'll be working with Regina from Celtic Fusion Design for the dress and suit pieces, and I'll be creating the leather corset bodice and closures. I absolutely can't wait to see how this powerful collaboration turns out!
And of course, what would a wedding plan be without a color palette? When looking through the designs, keep in mind that this is the master color palette for every part of the wedding:

The Dress
If you read my previous Engagement Announcement Inner Circle post, you've likely already seen the first sketch on the left... But I've expended on the idea quite a bit! As per Regina's suggestion, I designed the dress without the added leather corset bodice so she could see the breakdown of the different layers. Basically, I'm designing this to be a convertible dress, to be used both for the rituals and for the partying! The overskirt is attached to a removable fabric belt, that is laced in the back and fits nicely underneath the leather bodice. The underdress has a high-low hem, perfect for dancing, and split sleeves that are buttoned on the upper arms with little pinecone buttons! The neckline, sleeves, dress hem, and overskirt hem will all be lined with a delicate Celtic knotwork trim. and below you can see what I had in mind for colors! I'm still trying to figure out fabrics and textures, but I think this is a great start, and I can't wait to see Regina's suggestions!

The Suit
Of course, we weren't going to have Alex wear a generic tux! You've already seen the first sketch of his suit design, but since then I've drawn the two pieces separately so that you can really see the intricacies. The collar, robe sleeves, shirt sleeves, robe hem, and shirt hem all have the same delicate knotwork trim as the dress, and the outfit will feature the same colors. The robe and shirt closures will all be leather and will mirror the design of the leather bodice. I think he's going to look stunning in this set!

I hope you enjoyed this little post! I had a lot of fun bringing you into our wedding plans. If you want to hear more as the date gets closer, be sure to let me know!
And as always, feel free to suggest a topic for next week's post in the comments below!
Many Blessings,
Marin
