5 Useful Bindrunes

5 Useful Bindrunes

Hi Members!

This week, I wanted to share some bindrune magic with you! While crafting pieces for Renaissance Faires last month, I came up with 5 useful bindrunes to incorporate in my Faire stock. I tried to think of bindrunes that could be useful to anyone, and could resonate with many people... So I hope some of them resonate with you! Feel free to use them in your everyday life, as they are a gift to you!

Have a magical rest of your week,

Marin

Sanctuary for Inner Truth

Algiz, Mannaz, and Tiwaz

This seemed like a great starting point, because this was actually the very first Bindrune I ever made for myself! This is a great one to use for meditation or shadow work, as it promotes an inner sanctuary to discover your inner truth. Algiz over Mannaz focuses your energy inward, to your inner mind and humanity, and grants protection from outside forces. Then Tiwaz guides you to find your true values.

Home Protection Stave

Othala and Algiz

This is a simple but powerful bindrune. This bindrune uses the protective power of Algiz layered over Othala, the rune of Home and Hearth. Othala also represents the ancestral line, familial ties, and estate. Carve or draw this bindrune onto your front door to keep out unfriendly spirits. Alternatively, keep it in the most-used room in the house, to offer shelter to those who spent time there.

Good Luck Charm

Fehu, Wunjo, Gebo, and Ingwaz

I tend to think of this bindrune as my "good luck charm", but in reality it's much more than that. Ingwaz (the "seed" or potential energy) blossoms into Gebo (equal and balanced transactions), which holds the powerful combination of Wunjo (joy and love) and Fehu (prosperity and goal attainment). All together, this bindrune helps to ensure that the love and positive energy you put out into the world returns to you exponentially.

Spiritual Awakening

Eihwaz, Algiz, and Dagaz

This is a powerful transformational bindrune, so use it sparingly for focused rituals or spiritual meditation. It is a good bindrune to propel you into the next chapter of your life, or to help you find a connection to the beyond. Eihwaz acts as Yggdrasil, the tree that connects the worlds to the heavens. Along its trunk sits Dagaz, representing the new dawn and sudden enlightenment. On either side sits Algiz, acting as branches of Yggdrasil. In this situation, Algiz represents a connection to the gods and shows you your destiny or Path.

Compatible Growth

Ehwaz, Ingwaz, and Raidho

This bindrune could be used to inspire growth in a partnership, or bless a new relationship. Ehwaz represents trust in partnerships or compatibility. Within Ehwaz is Ingwaz, which represents both the potential for growth and directs said growth towards a greater peace. On either side, Raidho represents the journey that both parties will discover, both individually and together.
